Today was a rather eventful day to begin with. I had woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of the power going out in my room. We have actually been having that problem a lot lately so I figured it just happend again. I thought not much more of it and went back to bed. I ended up waking up around 7am to the sound of guys in the hall making a ruccus. Apparently the power was still out all through the hall this time though and absolutely none of the lights were working. It turned out to be a fairly interesting morning. Since I dind't have class anyway I just went back to bed and thought I was going to just wait it out. By the time another hour had gone by I figured I better wake up for good. The power was still out and people were still debating on whether there was going to be class and chapel today. I attempted to use the bathroom and determined it was unwise to do in the pitch black of the dorm bathrooms. I had to forego my shower this morning and just get ready in the dark. The cell phones were still working so I was able to call Allie and find out the power outage was campus wide and she was affected by it as well. She had tried to go t class this morning but was sent back because her professor had cancelled due to dark classrooms. As we waited around to see what to do next Allie and I just went and sat in her car and had our devotions together in the light of the morning. I had then made a clal to find out that Jerry and his crazy determiniation still managed to get the vines center running off of generators and we were still going to have chapel. So the both of us headed back to the vines center and found out dorms to attend the convocation service. For the beginging part of chapel however we had to work off of partial sound because the crew was still getting the sound system setup and running off of a jury rigged type of setup. They managed to pull it all together about 10 minutes into the service. Once chapel was out Allie then found out that her third and last class was also cancelled because the power for that room was still gone. So we both got some take out lunch from the dinning hall and walked back to her car. She left early to go to work while I ended up driving to North Campus to get a form for my graduation requirements. I decided I am going to try and CLEP another class and if I can pull it off I will be able to graduate next year most likely. Its kind of exciting. Anyway once I got that taken care of I then headed to work where the remainder of the day went back to normal. I found out the power ended up coming back on here at campus around 3:00pm. I had been at work for a good three hours by that time though so it didn't really matter to me much anymore. Once I got off work I then had to head to the church for about an hour or so to get the powerpoint all setup for this coming sunday. While I was there I crossed paths with Chuck and Jo since they stopped in to do a quick clean of the church. Chuck attempted to sneak up on my and scare me at first because I was there in the dark with only the light on up in the crows nest where I was working. I didn't really hear anybody come in and then all of a sudden he screamed really loud. It kind of startled me at first, but right after that he started to growl and I could tell the growl was a fairly familiar sound so I didn't really get scared. I thought it was Dennis at first though but as I went downstairs I saw Jo and knew exactly who was hiding in the dark making the noise. It was still funny though. I kind of helped a little bit with them cleaning but I had to get back to school and work on my english paper. So I just did some garbage emptying and headed back here. The power was live and working again when I got back, so that was a very good thing. I needed the power to get my computer turned on for writing my paper. I've basicly been doing that all evening now. I did do some studying of avaition stuff for a bit though too. But for the most part, I've been doing studying all evening. Allie ended upgoing down to her dads in NC after she got off work today so I was by myself tonight. But anyway I think now I really do need to get to bed my eyes are starting to get a little droopy. So I am going to have to say good night!
