It has been awhile since my last update. This week has pretty much consisted of going to work and then working on building the shed at my house after work. If I add up all the time I've spent working on that shed its probably been well over 48 hours worth of work. I'm ready for it to be done. We are really close now though I think. We are going to have to leave it as it stands for the rest of the weekend though because I'm going to be going to NC with Allie this weekend to be with her family down there. I'll be leaving today right after work. Going to get off a little early even. I guess it will be nice to have a break from shed building for awhile but I never really like leaving a project so close to done and not being able to finish it. We have the roof on and attached to the main beams but it isn't attached to the walls yet. Oh well. I am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend though. Ok. Thats it for now. I'm going to head to work.

Well, good news. On saturday we finally were able to get then floor frame of the shed put together. The frame itself wasn't the hard part it was getting the ground level enough to build it on. The entire property is like a downhill slope so we had to dig a lot to make it work. I hope now that if we can get enough help on Tuesday the rest of the shed should go up pretty quickly. Allie was excited to get what we did get done though because we moved the rest of the stuff outside to sit on top of the completed floor frame. That meant she was able to arrange stuff inside. Things are starting to come along well I think. This coming week I will be leaving work a little early on Thursday and Allie and I will head down to NC to visit with her Dad down there. Her little brother is going to have the opportunity to play on the field a little bit with the minor league baseball team of Durahm. I think he is pretty excited about that. On Saturday I took my EMT state exam. I won't know my score or anythign until like Thursday or Friday but I think it ended up going pretty well. After that is when Sam came over to help me finish the setup of the shed's floor frame. So it ended up being a pretty productive weekend. Today I went to the Donnebergs for lunch and I ended up taking a pretty decent nap there. Last week I worked every single night on something and I wonder if it all just caught up to me. I was pretty tired even last night. I feel a little better now though but I do have to be at work in the morning. So I probably should still get on my way to bed. Night!

This weekend ended up being pretty fun. Allie and her mom were out of town at a ladies retreat but Chuck and I were able to hang out on Saturday. I ended up taking him flying. He said it was only his second time in a small plane so that was pretty cool. The weather wasn't the greatest though so we didn't fly anywhere too far away from the airport. But we just did some general sight seeing around Lynchburg. It was pretty fun. We ended up trying to find a few yard sales afterwards but it was a little too late for that by then. We ended up stoping in at Phil and Cindy's house though because we were within a few blocks of there house while yard sale hunting. He had been having some problems with sending e-mail from his house internet connetion so I stopped in to see what I could find out. It wasn't really all that easy though because it worked sometime and not others. I think it ended up being a combonation of things, but I finally got it figured out I think. So far so good at least with it. After spending some time there we ended up going out to lunch/dinner at Country Cooking and we ended up being there for a few hour just talking and stuff. It was nice. By the time we finished there it was almost time to head to our Saturday night Church ministry so we headed off to that. The video speaker was pretty good that night but I didn't end up staying too long after it was over because I had to wake up early for sunday morning worship team practice.

Sunday was another really fun day. It was really Sad that Allie couldn't be around to enjoy it with us. She went down to spend the day with her Dad in NC though so that was a good thing for her to do. We still did miss her up here there. After church I went over to the Donnebergs and we had a lake day planned for Chuck for Fathers day. So shortly after I got there We headed out to Smith Mountain Lake. Brittany, Scott and Steph were there to join us as well. The first thing we did when we got there was eat lunch at one of the lakeside restaraunts. That was really good. After that we grabbed about 6 loaves of bread from the car and went down to feed the carp along the dock. There are masses of them and its fun to watch them all fight over the bread. Some of them even end up out of the water because they are laying on top of all the other fish. When that happens they flap thier tail as much as they can to try to get back in and water sprays everywhere. It is fun to watch. After fish feeding we went to the Arcade for awhile and played some of the games they have there. We ended up being there for awhile though. Chuck was having fun. After Arcade we went for some icecream at an icecream place they have there along the Lake and then walked around to look at the boats for awhile. But by this time Scott and Steph were about to have to leave. They needed to get back home to let their dogs out of the house. So we piled back in the cars and headed back to Lynchburg. After getting back Britt ended up leaving as well so It was just Chuck and Jo and I to hang out the rest of the evening. BJ was around but she was cooped up in her room the whole time pretty much. I went with them to run a few errands and then afterwards we went to the house again to watch a movie. We watched a movie called "The Invaders" I wouldn't recommend watching that. It ended up being a three hour long move and we didn't realize it. After like the first hour we were like "this is kind of stupid but now that we already watched an hour we might as well finish it" then it got to the two hour mark and we were like.. why is this still going.. we checked and found out it was three hours but now that we already invested two hours into it we just had to finish it to see the ending, which wasn't really even all that good. So unless you are really bored sometime time. Don't bother looking into that one. Anyway I didn't end up leaving the house until around midnight. So it was pretty late. I still had to work today too so I was a little tired this morning. Anyway, that pretty much updates everythign though.

This evenign I'm going to meet Allie over at the house and we will try to clear out a spot to setup the storage shed. The sticks and everything in back have been moved to the front of the yard for pickup so we can now level out a spot of land. Might be able to get that setup by the end of the week. We'll see how it goes.

Well, time to write another blog I assume. This week has been pretty slow and normal. Tuesday Allie and I spent some time together in the evening. We went out to dinner at Subway and then we went over to the house to build a shelf in the laundry room. I thought it was pretty fun. We didn't end up having the right brackets for the shelf though. They need to be a little longer. I will have to fix that later.

Things at work have been pretty steady lately. I've been staying fairly busy there.

Tonight I met up with a friend from church who I'll hire to get a few things done at the house. He came over and we looked at a few of the projects I would like to have done. Sounds like all of them are pretty doable for not too expensive so thats cool. After he left Allie and I met at her parents house and we made some spaghetti for dinner. Allie actually did most of the "making" she did a great job too! I thought it was great watching her cook! It was just a really nice evening hanging out with my girl! Ok well that is all I'm going to write for now. Night!

It sure has been a long time since my last post. Sorry about that. There really isn't too much going on lately other then work for me though. Allie and I have been going around getting all kinds of things for the house. And going along with that spending all kinds of money. It is kind of cool to see it all come along though. Wednesday I had another meeting with my EMT class. We met up at the firestation and we just had a short hour or so meeting to talk about some stuff. I got there a little early though and they ended up feeding me some left over dinner. It was kind of fun. After class two of the people from class ended up coming over to my house and we watched a movie and ate some icecream. It was pretty fun. Thursday night I was supposed to have another EMT class but that ended up not working out so Allie and ended up goign to see a movie at the dollar theater. It has been forever it seems since we did that last. We saw a movie called Premonition. It was a really decent movie too. We both liked it. Friday night I ended up taking a guys night and Sam and I went out to see a movie We saw a movie called 300. That also was a pretty good movie. It was a lot like the movie braveheart. That was pretty fun. Saturday Allie and I did some garage saleing with her family and we found a few other things for the house. Then for dinner Allie and I went to Red Lobster and Allie ordered crab legs for her meal. It was fun to watch her eat those. I think she said it was her first time eating those. They need to come with instructions or something. I entertained myself by building a crab leg sculpture with her empty crab shell peices. That was pretty fun. It turned out to be a pretty good day. Today we also did some more shopping this afternoon. We purchased some area rugs and one of those over the range microwaves and also a medicine cabinet. We can't really set any of the stuff up like we want to though until the guy removes all the sticks from the back yard. I need to put the storage shed up. Right now all the pieces are lying all over the kitchen. It will be nice to get that out of the way. Anyway, thats all i'll write for now. I'll try to make my next post again sooner rather then later. Night!

Things at the house are coming along pretty well. I just got a used Refridge today it will need a little bit of cleaning up but seems to work pretty well. I have a 10 Day warranty on it to check it out and make sure it is satisfactory. We also got one of those kitchen Island things that has some cabinet space and like a little bar table type thing so you can sit at it. I'm waiting for the landscaping dude to come and clean up the stuff in the back yard. He has been sick the past few days apparently. I need him to go ahead and clean up that stuff before I can get the storage shed built. I would like to get the shed build soon because I have all the parts of it laying in the kitchen. It would be nice to move our new dinning room table in the kitchen. Right now we have it sitting in the living room. Right now thats pretty much all the excitment going on lately. Other then that I've just been working and stuff. Anyway, I'm going to go for now, not much else to write about.
