Tonight I'm not going to spend 45 minutes and write my blog like normal. I'm just going to use that time and spend some extra time with My Jesus tonight Instead. The service for Superconference was really good tonight and the worship afterwards was just awsome. I just have some things to reflect on and share in prayer. I do have my last test tomorrow though so just remember me for that. Thanks, and sorry I can't say anything else tonight.

Blessed be Your name / On the road marked with suffering / Though there's pain in the offering / Blessed be Your name / Every blessing you pour out / I'll turn back to praise / When the darkness closes in / Still I will say / Blessed be the name of the Lord / Blessed be Your name / Blessed be the name of the Lord / Blessed be Your glorious name / You give and take away / You give and take away / My heart will choose to say / Lord Blessed be your name

Since my first test was postponed today we just used that class to go over some stuff.. I don't think it was really all that helpful though. I did have my aviatino test as planned though. I felt fairly good about it but I won't know my score till next class period. I got out pretty early from that test so I just went to the lab and studyed some for another upcoming test. Then I just had my computer class which was pretty normal. Then today at work I had to go do a service call at somebodys house. It was kind of fun, they had three dogs over there. I managed to get thier problem fixed pretty quickly but they didn't just leave it at that.. I was there for almost another hour just answering questions and stuff. It was alright though. I think I helped out enough. Then while we were at work today we watched this movie some guy made talking about how the whole plane flying into the pentagon was a consiracy theroy and it never really happend. It was just a government operation. It was really weird. He sure had some good points though.. he had lots of evidence to go against it. But anyway once we closed up Shop I headed back to campus and grabbed some dinner really quick. Then shortly after that I met Jonathan and we just hung out for awhlie looking at some of the booths around the Vines center while kind of listening to the speaker. We never really actually sat down at first though. After being there for awhile I ended up getting a call from Britt and Allie who had just arrived on campus. We were all going to meet up and sit together for the conference. Chuck and Jo and thier friends ended up sitting elsewhere though rather then sitting with our group. But Britt and Allie stayed with us. After being there for awhile Steve ended up calling and I met him outside and brought him down to sit with us. Then about 10 minutes after that pretty much during the speaker change time in the service, John called me, and So I ended up going to find him too and bringing him down to sit with us. Both speakers were good tonight as well. The first one talked about our obstacles to worship and how most of us have personal Idols that get in our way of closeness to God. Some things he said made me think. I enjoyed it though. Once he finished up they had an amazing segment of praise and worship songs that was really awsome. The next speaker then talked about How to be an effective leader we need to ask the right questions. His was a pretty good message too. Once it was all over most of us decided we wanted to go and do something for awhile afterwards. But before we did that we tried to go over and get Han from his dorm so we could bring him along. He was a punk tonight and decided not to come with us. But while we were getting him on the way there and then even on the way to my car I recruted a few other people to come along with us too. By the time we reached my car we had picked up four other people. So our big group ended up going to Waffle house to chill for a bit. So we had: Jonathan, Allie, Brittany, Matt, Clyde, Steve, John, Charlie, Bekah and I all out for a night of fun. We weren't able to all sit in one table though. We had to just go in two booths. I thought it was a good time though. I hope everybody else did as well. We ended up leaving just before 11. I then took Britt and Allie home then the rest back to campus and dropped them all off at thier dorms. But there were not parking spots again so I ended up having to park in the gravel pit and walk half-a-mile to my Dorm. I finally got back right around 11:30/40ish. I still hadn't studied yet today much for my two tests tomorrow so I busted out all the stuff for that and worked on a little bit of cramming. I think I'm as good as its going to get now though. So anyway, I really have to go to sleep now.

Well, I have one test down, four more to go. I woke up a little earlier this morning in order to glance over my notes for a bit before my 8am Theology test. I did fairly good on it too. The teacher gets it all graded the same day and posts them. I ended up getting a B on it. The rest of my classes were fairly normal today we kind of went over notes for a bit just to get ready for Wednesday's tests. I know a lot of people who had thier classes cancelled today so they could attend superconference but I was not so lucky. I think its good we still had class though in order to reveiw for the exams. Convocation this morning was pretty good. We had the World help childrens choir come sing for us today. They were so cute to watch. They represented 7 nations and I think it was like two kids per nation. Then the speaker today had a main focus on small groups and community of fellowship. He talked about how rather then utilizing small groups only from your church we shoudl expand groups to just the people in our community. So in other words.. rather then being just a bunch of salt bottled up in a salt shaker together... we need to go out and actually be useful in salting the community around us. I think Pastor John would have really enjoyed it this morning. I'm not sure if he actually went though. But It was pretty good. So after classes and stuff I went to work for the rest of the day. We are actually doing really well on getting caught up over there now. There was a customer that walked in like 3 minutes before we closed tonight though and I ended up being the lucky one that got to help him. He just kept asking questions and he ended up being there like 15 minutes after we closed. It was a little annoying. I was able to help him though and get everything taken care of. Once I got back to campus since I was so late the traffic was horrible. People were all getting there for the superconferene and there were no parking spots and it took like 10-15 minutes to actually get to where I wanted to and find a parking spot. But I finally made it and just in time for dinner before they closed. So I squezzed in a few minutes to eat dinner with Hannah and some of her friends tonight (I just found them so I sat with them) Once I finished eating I hurried back to my room to take care of a few things while I waited for a call from Jo who would be getting on campus to attend the meetings tonight. I ended up meeting Jo, Britt, Allie, and a family friend of thiers outside and we all went together to see Dr. Ergun Caner speak. Dr. Falwel was still speaking by the time we got to our seats but his was pretty good tonight (for the last bit of it that I heard). Oh and also I forgot to mention that we foudn steve there just getting there trying to find a place to sit so we invited him to come along with us. The speaker was really really good tonight and he was pretty funny too in the way he makes his points. He is like that almost everytime he speaks. The topic tonight was about how Christians need to start standing up for what we believe. He pointed out how people everywhere seem to protest for all kind of things that are against the bible or worldly issues. But you never see a christian out protesting and sharing the importance of the blood of christ. He had a lot of good information and points that he made. I really enjoyed it. Once the service was over Allie, Britt, and Steve and I headed over to Barnes and Noble to meet up with a friend of Brittany's. It closed at 10:00 though so we weren't able to spend very much time there. After they closed we had the bright idea to just go over to another coffee shop here in lynchburg, but once we got there it turned out it was closed as well. Since everything in lynchburg seems to just down an 10 there was really nowhere else left to go. We decided to just go back to the Donneberg's house and chill for a bit. Steve and I left thier house shortly after 11. After getting back to my room I found out that my economics test was moved to Thursday instead of tomorrow. That was pretty nice that will give me a few days to study some more. Economics is the only class I haven't managed to stay awake in through its entirety. I've probalby only been awake in that class 20% of the time. I really hope that all the reading I had to do and notes online and stuff will be all I need. There is massive amounts of slides and notes though that he has for us there so I can't imagine there being much more. Anyway, I only had to study for my Aviation class throughly tonight and then be done for the most part. I have a huge party going on in my room right now though. We have 7 other guys here at the moment. I'm going to try and attempt to go to sleep through it all. Night!

This morning I woke up around 7:30 and tried to wake Han up as well. I Just called his room and he woke up to answer the phone I was supposed to be giving him a ride this mornign to church. I he just said ok I'm up so I figured he would be getting ready. Turns out that after I showered and got dressed I went down to his room just to make sure he was actually awake. turns out He was asleep still. I So I pulled off all his blankets and then he still wouldn't wake up so I jumped on his bed some too. He is just way too lazy and decided he didn't want to come. What a Punk! He made me run late today and it was for nothing too.. I did end up getting charlie to come with me this morning though so I picked him up and then swung by to pick up brittany this morning too. Pete was gone this morning from church so Jason had to be a fill in for the sound guy. I had to kind of go back and forth between powerpoint and sound to help out a little bit. I let Heather do most of the powerpoint this morning though. She is doing a pretty good job with it now. The church server was pretty good I thought today. The pastor talked about "Unleashing the power of everbody" and it was mainly talking about how we all need to work together as a church to accomplish a common goal. After church today the Hartmans had invited me over for lunch with a few friends they said I could bring whoever I wanted. I ended up just taking some of the guys that were there at church. I got John, and Johnathan, and Steve and Charlie to come hang out for the afternoon. Johnathan wasn't actually at church this morning though because he had to be at work. But I was able to call him and get ahold of him to meet me there to follow me over to the Hartmans place. I think everybody had a pretty good time over there. I played with the Kids a lot but the rest of them didn't really get into it that much. Johnathan ended up doing a piano duet with Laura though. That was pretty good. Anyway they just mostly sat and visted with is still cool. Susan made us all Spagetti for lunch and I ate just to the point of explosion. The girls wanted me to go play on the swing with them after lunch, but I wasn't up for it after eating that much. We all just chilled in the living room afterwards. I sat down in thier chair though and ended up falling asleep in it. I didn't really even wake up until around 3:30. It was a good nap though. I ended up leaving shortly after I woke up because I needed to get some studying done if I could. So I headed back to campus. I was planning on meeting up with Jonathan around 5:00 to go to the Superconference tonight but he ended up not making it back in town on time from his weekend trip with the family. I was also wanting Brittany and Allie to come too but it turns out that didn't work out either. I just ended up going all by myself tonight. Then it ends up with Rick Warren's Message being called "Better Together" he talked about how we fellowship better together, socialize better together, study better together, struggle better together, serve better together, and worship better together. It was kind of sad that I was there by myself while he talked about that. (I wasn't technically there by myself.. almost all the seats were full.. but I had come alone.. I'm sure you knew what I meant though). But yeah, it was a pretty good service. Anyway once it was over I had to get back to my room and study some more. I have a test tomorrow morning at 8:00. I had to take a break from studying though for awhile and take care of some buisness for my church back home with my mom through Instant messager. I think we got done what we needed to. Anyway, I hope I'm all ready for my exam. I'm too tired to study anymore tonight though so just keep me in your prayers. It all in God's hands now. Good night!

Well, today has seemed like a long day. It might be because of the fact I woke up at 5:30.. that could usually do it. The Donneberg's were having a huge mult-family Garage sale at thier house this morning. They were all out there at around 6am. I didn't end up showing up until around 6:45 or so though. Shortly after I got there the traffic started rolling in and the people were buying all kinds of stuff. One man's junk is another mans treasure. I only stayed until around 9:30 though, I ended up going to work after that. I'm glad it was saturday though so I only had to be there until 3:00. Derek wasn't there today, so it was just Andy and I. We seemed to clean up the work pile fairly well today though. Right after we closed up shop I headed back over to the D-bergs to finish up with the garage sale. By the time I got there though they were already cleaning up stuff. So I just helped them carry all the unsold items over to the church for the church sale we will be having next weekend. It took about three trips to get it all. Once we cleaned up the yard I stayed for dinner and just hung out for awhile. It was nice to be able to do that, I haven't been able to for awhile. Jo and Allie ended up needed to leave to clean up the church shortly after dinner though so I helped Chuck clean up the last remains in the yard and then headed back to campus. After I got back I finished up that girls computer I was working on (only took like 15 minutes) and then took care of some e-mails and stuff. Once I got all of that taken care of I dove into my studies for my many tests I have next week. I kind of dozed off for I think about 45 minutes though. But I was awakened by my cell phone ringing. It was the girl calling to come pick up her laptop. She actually paid me for what I did too, so that was a nice blessing. Anyway, after she came by to get that, I managed to stay awake the rest of the time studying. The guys were all in my room playing games the entire time though and they had the lights dimmed. So I was out in the hall for a bit reading and stuff. I probably could have had them turn on the lights if I asked but it wasn't that big of a problem. While I was working on stuff I kinda had a few times where my stomach cramped up really bad again. Its not as bad as last time though so I'm hoping its getting better on its own. I don't want to have to go to the doctor. Anyway, I think I'm going to call it quits for the night. Since I woke up so early I'm pretty tired. It feels like 3:00am right now. I still need to wake up at 7:15 tomorrow in order to make it to practice at church. So yeah... I"m off to bed!

I had all my classes as normal today. Mostly they were all finishing up chapters and review for tests. I hope I can keep track of it all. Anyway, I ended up going to ministry chapel today instead of Convocation and that was pretty good. It was a pastor from a church in florida. He talked about all the things going on down there with the Hurricanes and everything then brought a message on keeping the faith even through the hard times. It was a good message. I actually had a chance to eat lunch in the dinning hall today too. It was nice to just sit and relax and eat, haven't had much of that lately. After lunch I headed on over to work. Things slowed down a little bit today, but it didn't really seem to take the load off that much. We had one customer that had some problems with AOL on his computer, so Andy ended up having to work on that and be on the phone with Tech support for them for about an hour and then working on the computer with the customer actually there for another two or so. During that time Derek was out on a service call for a few hours as well. So basicly I had to run everything else in the shop during that time. I'm just glad things kind of slowed down a bit for today. Once we closed up the shop I headed over to Jonathans house and picked him up. We spent the evening over at the "James River BBQ" It was nice to just hang out with Jonathan there and talk and eat BBQ stuff. It wasn't all that much there though. They had a concert going on and the BBQ cooking contest but mostly it was just an open field for people to stand around and eat and dring beer and smoke and stuff. It was crazy there was lots of smoke in certain areas it was hard to breathe sometimes without getting someones second hand smoke. They also had little stands around the edge of the field where people were giving out free samples of beer and stuff. There were some people who ended up getting up near the front where the band was playing and started dancing and stuff. I think they might have had a little too much to drink or something. We still had a good time though. We went around and walked some of the trails down by the river and went to a little island and stuff too. It was pretty fun. We didn't stay much longer then 3 hours though, We just ended up going back to his house and hanging for awhile. While we were there he told me about and showed me some stuff from his Honor Academy experience. It was pretty cool. He had a video of one of the events that they do there and I was able to see what that was all about. It looked like a great experience. I ended up leaving shortly after that was over though because I still needed to do some studying tonight. Once I got back on campus a girl called that needed some help with her comptuer so on my way back to my dorm I stopped and picked that up for her. Then the rest of the evening I just worked on that computer and finished up my reading I needed to do for my Philosphy class. I think I need to get going to bed now though, I need to wake up tomorrow morning at 5:15ish. So with that.. I'm outa here, night!

Today was another rought day of classes, I am just trying to keep all these study guides straight in my head for next week. My Aviation class ended up getting out quite a bit earlier then normal today so I had about 45 minutes of free time between classes to get some extra work done I needed to do. So I went up to the computer lab to start on some of it. I ended up sitting next to some girl that was working on something but she would talk to herself non-stop. It was kind of funny.. but also hard to concentrate on what I was doing because of it. I managed to make quite a bit of progress on it though. Once I got done with all my classes I ended up going to one of the offices here at liberty and got my picture taken for my passport. Then as soon as I had those I headed to the post office to turn in the application. I'm excited about all of that. I should get my Passport sometime between 2-4 weeks from now. Anyway after that I just went on over to work for the rest of the day. We are still pretty busy there but there were a few moments to sit and relax today at least. Once I left work I came back to campus and ate some dinner and then returned to my dorm room for the rest of the night. I finished reading what I needed to for my Economics Class tonight and so now I just have to review notes and stuff the rest of the weekend until the test next week. Once I got that all done I decided I better look over my lesson and prepare for my Prayer groups tonight. Tonight I taught on Prayer again. This time I used the first part of Habakuk 2 for which I based the lesson on. I thought it went very well. I did get a lot of interaction tonight too so thats always a good sign. But anyway I prepared that and then worked on some more homework until Hall meeting. That and Prayer group did go well tonight. Once we finished up with that I read more stuff for my tests until I started reading words that weren't actually there. I think my mind would make up complete paragraphs or something... I would read for a bit and then realize I didn't quite understand what that meant.. and I would go back to read it again and what I had just read wasn't there. It was really weird. I don't know if I can explain it any better then that. But anyway.. that was my Que to go to sleep. (That and my sister telling me to go to sleep because she was... and she is three hours behind me). So ok.. Good night!

I just seem to get more tired every day. I hope I have a chance to catch up on sleep soon. I ended up falling asleep for most of the time I was in class today. I also have 5 tests next week. That is one test in all of my classes except one (my computer that I took yesterday). I can't believe they all happen at the same time. I don't even know how I'm going to study for 5 different subjects and keep track of it all at the same time. Is that even supposed to be possible? So anyway once I finished up with classes I went right to work. I didn't eat lunch today because I wanted to get to work about 45 minutes early today if possible. I needed to leave work for about an hour today at 3:00 so to make up for it I just got their early. The reason I had to leave in the middle was to go to a meeting for my Brazil Missions trip I will be going on in March. So far it seems that everything went through and I will be doing that. At this meeting they gave us some more information about the trip and some more things we will need to take care of before we go. One thing I found out that I'm looking forward to is that each of us will be staying at a different host house when we get down there. These houses will just be random people that volunteer from one of the churches we will be ministering at. Most likely they will not speak any english either. In a way I'm excited about doing that but also a little nervous about it. I also found out I will most likely need to get a few vaccinations before I go on the trip. I really really hate anything involving needles so I'm not sure how thats going to go over. We also had the opportunity to just quickly meet everyone that will be on the team. I know this is going to be a great trip. The meeting lasted about an hour or so and as soon as it was over I had to rush back over to work. We were really busy today and our pile of computers to be worked on has increased quite a bit. Its good to be busy but it just makes things a little stressful expessially for me because of all this other stuff going on right now in my life as well. So far I think I'm holding up mentally, but my body is starting to have some problems now from everything. If things don't change soon I may need to make a trip to the doctors office. So just keep me in prayer about that. So anyway once we closed the shop at work I left and went to church. The subject tonight was just on discussing plans for ministry and outreach in our church. We had some fairly good ideas and are just working on getting some organization now... that part may take some further work. Right after church I had to get back to campus for another meeting this time it was a prayer leader meeting. That one lasted about an hour and got out right around 10:00. Luckily it was early enough for me to still get to late night for my only meal of the day. I tried my first Pierogi tonight there... I had never even seen one before. It was actually pretty good though. Of course when you haven't eaten all day a lot of things could be considered good when they're not. But anyway.. it was good to me. Once I finished up eating I came back to my room to finish up my devotions I didn't quite get done this morning and then started my homework. I just have massive amounts of studying to do in the next coming days. It is just really late now and I don't think I should contiue with homework anymore so I have to quit and go to sleep.

Had School from 8:00-12:00 and got a 100% on a test I took for my computer class. Then went to work... was at work from 1:00 to 9:00. I had two service calls to do today at opposite ends of Lynchburg, fixed them and returned to the shop. Came back to the dorm and did homework from 9:30-1:15. Day was over all too routine to write anything on. So thats all you get today.

Today I woke up and went to classes as normal. It was actually a pretty routine day. Once classes were over though I had to hurry and get some things done before going to work. I had to package up a book I had sold to someone and get to the post office and ship it. I also had to stop at the bank as well before work. It turned out I managed to get everything done with a little bit of spare time left so as I was driving to work I made a stop at church. I saw Betty's car outside and just thought I would pop in and say hey for a few minutes. It turns out Jo was there as well. It was nice to talk with Jo for a bit... it was a short conversation since I was on my way to work but it was still good to talk to her. Betty was hard at work doing some accounting stuff I think so I didn't really talk to her too much. But anyway, I then went to work. It was more routine at work and we kind of counted minutes as it got close to closing time. Once it was finally time to leave I headed over to Aarons house for awhile after work. I didn't stay too long maybe only about an hour or so but it was nice to just sit and chill with him for a bit. By the time I made it back to campus though the dinning hall was closed so I ended up having to skip dinner. I just came back and did a little bit of homework and studied the bible for awhile as well. Then around 9:00 I had a prayer leader meeting I had to go to that was about an hour long. It was actually a pretty good one tonight though. But once it was over I went down to the dinning hall for a late night meal since I had skipped dinner. They had my favorite latenight snack. A huge nacho bar with all the trimmings. It was some good stuff. Thats one thing that they can do right! (Its kind of hard to mess that up though). I had to kind of eat quickly though because I still had some homework to do. I just have a lot of reading and things that I need to do this semester in multiple classes, so tonight I did a little for my economics class and some for Philosophy. Its starting to get rather late though now so I had to stop in the middle of a chapter because I was falling asleep while reading. I'll just have to finish that tomorrow I guess. So anyway.. my roomie beat me to bed tonight for the first time this semester (not including the first week when he didn't know how college worked) LOL. But now its my turn.. I'm outa here!

Well, today I crawled out of bed just after 7:00 in order to prepare for my day. I then had to call and wake up my freind charlie that I was going to bring to church with me today. I also had to stop and pick up Brittany on the way to church. Our worship team practice has cut back a little and we don't need to be there until 8:30 from now on. That helps out a little with the morning drowsyness (only a little though). But anyway.. I was able to round up both Charlie and Brittany and get to church in time for practice. Now things during practice were pretty hectic for me. The pastor decided to use all different songs then what he had scheduled in the calender for this morning. That meant the Powerpoint I already had prepared was obsolete and I had to basicly re-make it from scratch during practice. With God's help I managed to pull it off successfully. Unfortunatly because I had to build the slides while they were practicing I was never able to run through the words and see if they would all match up with how they would sing it. So once the service actually started we just had to wing it. I am in the process of training Heather how to run the powerpoint so once I got it all setup for her (supposedly) I decided to let her drive this morning. I sat right next to her the whole time though just incase she got into a jam. We had a few things we had to watch carefully and jump back and forth on but she did a great job for what was there. We had quite a few audio technical difficulties this morning too. The Devil just didn't want something to happen this morning I guess. But despite the minor failings... the devil lost and the worship service was pretty good. The sermon was great this morning as well. He talked about how to Live in the Word. The main point was being not only hearers of the word but doers as well. After the service I hung around for awhile and talked.. but since I had given Charlie a ride he also needed a ride back to campus afterwards. I wasn't able to stay as long as I normally would so I could get him back when he needed to. But its probalby a good thing I left when I did so I could start some homework this afternoon. Last night I had also worked on somebody's comptuer for them and I had to meet up with them in order to return it to them. It was one of those things that they needed done ASAP (I was up till 3am last night fixing it). But it was well worth it, they were very very greatful that I could help them. They even paid me quite generously for it all. So anyway after getting some homework reading done and the comptuer taken care of, around 3:00 I had to swing by and pick up Brittany from work. I was a little early getting there though so I just sat outside her work and read a book until she got off. I then took her home and I hung out at her place for about an hour just relaxing and playing with Jake and reading a little bit. I had to leave around 4:00 though to meet up with Jonathan. We had plans to just hang out and talk for a few hours this afternoon. We ended up going to a park and sitting in the grass just talking and sharing with each other. While we were there an older man walked by us. He was walking with a limp and apparently he had just had knee surgery and was out and about excerising his leg. He told us that he had locked himself out of his house and didn't have his wallet with him and wondered if we could spare a few bucks. But rather then give him money we stood up and asked if we could just pray for his knee and asked if He knew who Jesus was. He did seem to sound as if he was a Christian and had all the right answers, but really its hard to know sometimes. But we prayed over him and for healing of his leg and he did look encouraged as he limped away from us. I'm not sure where his heart really was but either way I know the Lord will work in his heart today. So anyway after he had left us Jonathan and I just finished our talk out there and then we returned back to his house. He was planning on having a group of friends over tonight to just hang out and have some relax time. So we quickly ran by the store and picked up some Ice Cream and Rootbeer and started calling some people to see who needed rides and stuff. I went to go Pick up Brittany again and bring her back to his house and then a few others showed up on thier own. I also made a run to campus and picked up Missy at her dorm and brought her back to the house as well. We also went and picked up two large $5 pizza's from Little Cesars and just chilled at his house the rest of the night. By the time everybody had gotten there, nine people had shown up. It was a pretty fun evening. We played Guestures for a bit and then a few of us played scrabble. But mostly we just talked with each other for most of the night. I enjoyed myself there. We all kind of headed back around 10:00ish. Upon returning to campus I had to do some more homework and take care of a few other items on my to-do list. But I think I've accomplished all I can tonight without falling over and sleeping where I land.. so I think with that I"m going to call it a day.

I heard this and decided I needed to post it. It's a great quote!

"Today marks a profound and bittersweet milestone for all of us, as we bear witness to both an end and a beginning. And while we must continue on, we must also be grateful to have been blessed with someone who has so ably guided us to where we are today. When there has been so much love and happiness for someone, it is natural to be reluctant to close such a wonderful chapter in our lives, for moving forward is rarely accomplished without considerable grief and sadness. And while our sorrow may be profound, the clouds will clear, and the sun will shine on us again. And in that warm, bright light we will find ourselves facing a glorious future. A future of exciting challenges and infinite possibilities, in which the horizon will stretch out before us, trimmed in the heavenly glow of the sunrise of our tomorrow." (The Prince & Me ©2004)

Woke up, went to classes. Theology, then Biology. I then went to Ministry Chapel instead of convocation today. The message was pretty good. His main theme was "Sometimes your life is not impacted by what you accomplish, but rather by what you walk away from" Once chapel was over I then headed to Philosophy for my last class. I ended up not eating lunch in the Dinning hall today, instead I grabbed some takeout and left campus a little earlier then normal. I had to stop by the store where I got my cell phone. It seemed to be acting up a little weird lately. It turned out it just needed a setting changed and an administrative reset or something. But it was all good after that. I also had to stop by the bank on the way to work. The timing worked out pretty good and I made it to the shop in time. The work day was fairly smooth today. Nothing really out of the ordinary happend at work. I had to close up today though so I didn't get off work till around 6:20 or so. Rather then go back to campus after I got off I just decided to head over to the Donneberg's. They were trying to organize and clean up some stuff out of thier basement. They found some fun things from thier childhood. While I was there we also tried to brainstorm a project for Han. He wanted me to have us all try and come up with an Alphabet Acrostic for Name/Attribues of God. We managed to get it done. I hung out for the evening and we watched a movie called "Sabrina" It was a really good movie I thought. I ended up leaving around 11:30 to come back and do some homework. I have a book I have to read this weekend for one of my classes. I have about 150 pages to get through for it. I tried to get some of it done tonight.. I only managed to read like 12 pages though because I kept falling asleep. I think I just need to get to bed. I'll try reading it after work tomorrow or something. So anyway, it was a fairly good day but I need to sleep now. Night!

This morning I woke up about 10 minutes before I had to be at class. Something is quirky with my cell phone and the clock on it doesn't display anymore. So because the clock isn't there the alarm for it doesn't go off because it doesn't know when to. Its really weird. But anyway, since I got up so late I wasn't able to have devotions or even take a shower this morning before I had to rush out the door. I managed to get ready in 5 minutes and walk to class in 3. So I ended up getting there in time. Classes were pretty normal today, nothing really worth mentioning actually. But once classes were done I hurried to the Dinning hall and ate lunch really quick. I managed to pull off eating in about 8 minutes today. I wanted to eat really quick so I could have time to go back to my dorm and have my devotions before going to work. It all seemed to work out pretty well with timing. I made it to work just in time. But yeah.. it was just another typical Thursday at the old computer exchange today. Plain routine is all it was. Its not bad... its just not pretty to write about. So I'll just leave it at that and move on... Upon arriving back in my dorm once I left work I found Britt and Allie were online for awhile tonight. So I had the opportunity to talk with them for awhile. Once they had to leave I had quite a bit of reading and homework I needed to do so I started on that until Hall meeting. I actually put a good sized dent in my Homework load tonight. Hall meeting went very well tonight and so did my prayer group. Its nice when everythign goes smoothly. Once groups were over I finished up my homework, then I had to write a quick e-mail to Vanessa. But now as the time indicates... it is time for Bed, so thats what I'm going to do.

I had trouble staying awake in my classes again today. (I think I stayed up talking to my mom online too much last night.. lol j/k). I dozed off at least a little bit in every class. It was pretty bad. I really like my biology class (its going to be hard but its at least interesting) and I fell asleep in that one too. I did manage to stay awake in Convocation today though. David Nasser spoke again for the service. Today he told his entire testamony and about his family's escape from IRAN. How, looking back now, he knows God was protecting and with them even before they came to christ. It was an amazing story how it all "worked together for good" even for those who didn't trust him. Quite a few came to the Lord this morning because of it too. Before today just over 40 have gotten saved, praise God for that. I didn't get to go to the last service tonight though so I don't know how God worked through it then, but I'm sure God worked in a might way tonight too. I would assume that probalby over 50 got saved total this week. I'll let you know for sure once I find out. I ended up not going to lunch after classes today though, I had a few things I needed to take care of in the finacial office and it took a bit of time to get that done. I then stopped by my dorm for a little bit after that to finish up my devotions that I didn't quite get done this morning. But once I finished up everything, I still had enough time to at least grab take-out before going to work, so I didn't have to starve or anything. Things at work lately have been pretty rough.. we've been swamped lately. There's no time to get bored at least though. Ron and Betty Allen stopped by today to say Hi to me as well, I hadn't seen them for awhile. I tried calling them before but thier number was changed because they were in the process of moving. So I'm glad they stopped in so I could get the new number. Anyway after work I headed on over to church. I was pretty early as usual though, but the Hartmans and the Williamsons were there so I just hung out with the kids until it got closer to time to start. We had a bible study on Ephesians tonight there and it ended up being a pretty good one. I ended up staying afterwards to help with the worship team practice and give Brittany a ride back home. We were at the church until right around 10:30 almost. So anyway I dropped off Brittany and headed back to campus. I had a few things I needed to do tonight once I got back, but over all it was a fairly small list. So I'm able to get to sleep a little earlier tonight. Just after one isn't too bad. But anyway.. I'm off to bed.

Well, I woke up a little later then normal today. But I still had enough time to get ready and all, I just had to hurry a little more. I had my economics class this morning to start out with and I made it through about halfway the class period awake.. but half was was the end.. I was in doze mode after that. I did pretty good the rest of the day after that though. My aviation class was pretty fun today, He just talked about procedures of pilot training and what needs to be done to get from one step to another. It was good information. He let us out early too. That was nice because I didn't get to quite finish my devotions this morning before getting to class, so I used the extra 30 minutes to do that. I had my computer class after that and we had a project we were supposed to work on in that class. It's an hour and a half class but I finished the project in about 20-30 minutes.. She doesn't let us leave early though so I had to sit there and work on other stuff and get ahead. Its no big deal though.. thats good I was able to have some time to do that. I then ate lunch with Laurie today. It was actually the first time I had seen her since school started this year. She didn't really waste any time though and she started asking me all kinds of questions about stuff. I ended up having to leave to get to work though. But it was nice to see her! Things at work were a little backed up today. I hadn't actually been to the shop since last friday. We had to work kind of fast to catch up some. The guys ended up staying late tonight there, but I wasn't able to do it because I needed to be at the chapel service that was tonight at Liberty. I ended up have Allie and Britt come along with me tonight. Jonathan was out with other obligations and wasn't able to make it. After getting to campus I then met up with Missy and Some of her other friends. The message tonight was pretty good. I was telling the girls that the speaker usually used a whole lot of stories and examples more then he used scripture or even getting to the point. If he took all the "fluff" out his sermons would only be about 5 minutes it seemed. But tonight he pulled the ol' switcharoo.. He even made a disclaimer before he started that if we were looking for "entertainment" tonight listening to all his stories we would be disappointed. I like having stories mixed in and the messages were good when he did.. but it was pretty excessive and for every sermon I didn't like it as much. I was glad he changed his style a bit tonight. Once the service was over The girls and I wanted to go out to eat somewhere. I hadn't eaten dinner or anything so I was pretty hungry. We ended up going over to Jonathans house and waiting for him to get back, then we snagged him and brought him along with us. We ended up eating at the Waffle house. We were there for like 2 hours almost though. The cook left on them I think so it took a long time to get our orders and food brought to us. It was all really good food though, worth the wait. We had a great time just talking and things tonight. We left there a little after 11:00. After dropping them all off I came back to campus and tried to find a parking spot. I actually prayed that there would be one close tonight. I didn't feel like walking a mile to get back to my room. But I had this wierd feeling that maybe something would happen if I did end up having to walk. Sure enough there weren't any open parking spots on that end of the campus. So I thought.. well maybe God has some other idea and a good reason for me to have to walk tonight. So I went on back to the pit and parked over there. I then started my long trek through campus to get to my dorm. After getting about 1/4 of the way back a guy drove by and asked me if I wanted a ride to my dorm. So I hopped in and we went towards my dorm. Our conversation drifted and eventually he mentioned that he had some computer problems... I then told him I could help him there. It was pretty cool. So I got him my info and by that time we were at my dorm. I just thought it was cool how a long walk back from the pit turned from just a long walk.. to an open channel of service for God. It was good stuff. So anyway.. I just wanted to share that. Then pretty much the rest of the night I worked on some banking finance stuff then talked with my roomies a bit and my Mom chatted with me online. It was a pretty good evening I would say. But now its pretty late so I need to get to bed. Night!

Well, today was Labor day but we still had classes. I did manage to get the day off though so that was cool. But to start off the day I had a Theology test in my 8:00 class. I ended up getting a B on that test. Thats not too bad considering it was my first test for the semester. The rest of the class day was pretty normal though. I had Biology and Philosophy (Which I dozed off in slightly). We had David Nasser speak today in our chapel service though. By the end of the service about 20 people came down to accept the Lord today. That was pretty amazing, praise God for that. Once I finished with all my classes I didn't have to go to work or anything so I actually was able to run a few errands I needed to do. I had to take my application in for the Missions trip I'll be going on this year. There was a lot of stuff that had to be done with it though and there was a $45 processing fee. But I was in and out of there in about 15 minutes or so. I'm currently in the process of getting a passport as well so I pray that goes smoothly. I think this will be a great experience. I then had to stop by the Dean of Men's office to drop off some paper work there. I then ended up calling my parents today too. It was good to hear my moms voice. I needed them to see about finding information for a birth certificate so I can have my proof of identiy for when I go to get my passport done. I ended up talking to her for about 20 mintues or so. I wasn't able to talk to long though because I had to get to lunch before 1:00 or the Dinning hall would close on me. So I then ate a quick lunch and headed back to my Dorm for the better part of the afternoon. I read a few chapters out of one book I'm reading called "Making Small Groups Work" But, I just wasn't in the mood to continue reading that one after I read about 20 pages. So I decided I would start another book for today called "He's HOT, She's HOT" It was one Allie was letting me borrow. I hadn't started it yet and I figured I better hurry up and read through that one. I was a very good book. I actually started it today and finished it today too. I think I read just over 200 pages today between those two books. I pulled out some excerpts from that book just as I did with the other's I've been reading, so if you want a copy just let me know. Maybe one of these days I'll end up putting the documents on my website and you can just read them there.. but for now, I'll just e-mail them upon request. But yeah.. I'll just say again, this one was a very good book. Anyway in between reading I took a break and ended up going over to Jonathans house to hang out for a bit with him this evening. I picked him up and we ended up coming back to campus to hear David Nasser speak again tonight. We met up with some Girls that we knew and was sat with them tonight. The topic was on Giving God our everything and working towards becoming one mind with his. They had another alter call tonight, but I won't know the final count of salvations until tomorrow. But it was an amazing service. Afterwards I ended up just going off campus back to Jonathan's house for a bit and hanging out and chatting. I ended up getting back sometime around 10:00 tonight. I worked on some homework and finished up with reading that book. But really nothing else exciting happend once I got back. So thats that! I'm of to Z land.

I at least got some sleep last night.. that was good. I still had a hard time getting to sleep though, just too many thoughts running through my mind. But I think I got somewhere between 4 and 5 hours of sleep last night. I had to be at church early still to get setup for worship team and stuff. That all went pretty good though. Pete was gone today so I had to help out with sound and everything too during practice. I ended up calling up Heather to help me run Power point this morning. I didn't want to be in charge of that because I have been so tired lately. I would have been about two seconds slow on everything. She did a good job too. The message today was on how to build relationship in order to seek out the lost and bring them to christ. It was good, I could say more but I accidently left the notes at church this morning, I'll have to get them tomorrow or something. Anyway after church I had to look at Kat's laptop and got that all fixed for her, then I came back to my dorm and took a nap. (I did eat lunch first though). I ended up sleeping for about 4 hours or so. During my nap about 5 people called me though.. so I had to keep waking up like every half hour. I think my nap served its purpose though. After waking up I ate a quick dinner then went over to Jonathan's house and I ended up hanging out with him the rest of the evening. We came back to liberty and went to campus church then went to Taco Bell for a bit after that and we just sat there and talked for awhile. At around 10:30 I took him back home and dropped him off there and came back to work on some homework. I have a test tomorrow in Theology, it's my first one of the semester. Pray for me with that! But alright... I am going to get to bed now.

Sunday, September 05, 2004
Well, today I'll just kind of start where I left off yesterday. For me it feels like just one long day because I actually haven't been to sleep since Thursday. So anyway.. after doing some reading, It got close for the time for me to start getting ready for work. so as 7:00 rolled around I put the book down and hit the showers and stopped and had some devotions. I had to meet Andy this morning at 8:00 at a buisness site. I never actually had to go to the shop today. We were out all day working at a big paint wearhouse. They had roughly 40 computers at the place and we had to run around all day working on each one individually doing full virus scans, spyware scans, and other general "tune up" procedures. It was a nice change of pace. Since I didn't have a chance to just stand around it was good since I didn't sleep at all last night, if I would have been at the shop I probalby would have been trying to fight it the whole day. But anyway we had our share of getting lost trying to find every computer in all the nooks and crannys of the building. It took us from 8am to 3pm to get it all finished. But we did it! - Right after work I ended up swinging by the Donneberg's house and picked up Jake. I was going to go hang out with the guys from my prayer group at PeaksView Park. I figured we could have some fun with having a Dog there to play with too. It worked out pretty well. We only ended up staying for a little over an hour though. I was kind of tired anyway, I didn't want to do too much stuff. Once we finished up there I brought Jake back home. None of the family was there still though, so I didn't get a chance to see any of them today at all. But after getting Jake all settled back in at thier house. I went back to campus for the rest of the day. It was fairly close to dinner time after I got back so I didn't really get a chance to do much. I was thinking about just not eating, but I figured that probaby I should today. I hadn't eaten anything since Tuesday, and I haven't slept at all since Thursday. So considering those two facts, I had to do one or the other fairly soon. A big group of people were going to dinner around that time so I set out and joined them. We headed to the Dinning hall first but upon arriving there we found out that they were only serving dinner out on the lawn by the football stadium. (Tailgate BBQ for the first game of the year). Well, I didn't really want BBQ stuff for dinner. Since its been like 4 days since I've eaten I didn't want to just eat a hamburger and some pepsi and all that other BBQ paraphanelia right away. But really that was my only choice. It ended up being ok though, I just didn't eat much. After I went to dinner I just came back to my room and hung out for a bit. Johnathan ended up calling me and we talked for a little while about some stuff. I then ended up taking about an hour nap. I didn't sleep long though because at around 10:00 they were going to start showing "Shrek 2" here on campus for free in one of the fields. That was one I wanted to see, since it was free, I had to take advantage of it. I got there a little late though unfortunatly and missed like the first 15-20 minutes or so. I was trying to wait for Han but he didn't end up going with me, so its all his fault I waited for nothing... LOL. So anyway I just went by myself, but found a few people there that I knew and sat with them. Once the movie was over I just came back to my room and did some more economics Homework and typed up a document I needed to do for Micah. I also talked to my mom for a bit online. But anyway, now that it is aproaching 2:00am I may want to attempt to sleep tonight. I need to run sound and stuff at church tomorrow at eight so I'll need to wake up early. So with that... I'm off.

Well, quite a few things have happend since the last time I did a real blog. Sorry I had to skip out for a few days. I had a personal issue I've been trying to deal with. I just didn't feel like blogging those nights. I'm slowly getting back to myself again but it just isn't going to be easy. I read a pretty good devotion today though and it kind of related to my situation some. It was Sep 3rd's "My Utmost for His Highest" You can read it if you would like . But then I heard a song later that day that I really needed to hear. It is "Blessed Be Your Name" Here are some of the lines in that song:
Blessed be Your name / On the road marked with suffering / Though there's pain in the offering / Blessed be Your name / Every blessing you pour out / I'll turn back to praise / When the darkness closes in / Still I will say / Blessed be the name of the Lord / Blessed be Your name / Blessed be the name of the Lord / Blessed be Your glorious name / You give and take away / You give and take away / My heart will choose to say / Lord Blessed be your name
I was just thinking about those words and realized that God gave for a short time, but now he took away. I need to just give it up (even though there is pain in that offering) and say blessed be your name. That is my challenge for the next few days. As my friend Johnathan told me when I went to his house on tuesday night.. "Sometimes you just have to sacrifice Isaac".

So anyway with that said, I'm just going to try and continue. I was pretty out of it on Wednesday, I actually can't even remember if I made it to all my classes that day. I vaugley remember being at work that day so I know I was as least there. Then after work I tried going to church, I ended up making it to the parking lot but after sitting in my car for a few minutes I just couldn't bring myself to get out of the car and go inside so I just left. I just drove around town for a bit and returned to campus in time for a prayer leader meeting that was at 9:00 that night. Once the meeting was over I pretty much just came back to my room and tried to go to sleep.

Thursday was a day I really have to tell you about though. We had an Aviation field trip! Our class went out to the airport and we mingled around the hangars for about an hour. We had the opportunity to watch them take apart an airplane. We also were able to sit in any of them that we wanted to. I wasn't even going to fly but I was a little nervous just thinking about it. I'm sure once I break that first flight barrier it should come easy. But it sure was a fun class day there. I enjoyed it. The rest of the day was pretty straight forward though. That was really the highlight of the day. It actually was nice because it made me forget about all the other stuff I had going on (which I really needed). Then later after work I went to a missions meeting. I found out about some missions trips they are doing this year and got an application for one. There are two that I would like to do, so if my first choice falls through I should have another option. Also we had hall meeting and prayer groups thrusday evening. I think it went pretty good for me and my group.

Friday, rather then going to convocation I went to ministry chapel instead. It was pretty good on friday. They didn't really have a speaker to talk to us, but instead they just had team leaders from a bunch of ministry teams come up and talk about what thier team did through the year. A few of them did skits or music or dance to demonstrate what it was like as well. It was nice to see it all. Really though the rest of the day was a typical Friday. I finished up classes then headed to work, then just came back to my room to do some homework. I also was called by four people tonight to see if I could work on thier computers for them. I had a lot of homework and reading to do so I decided I would just work on those while I did my homework. I just wanted to stay busy and keep my mind occupied rather then just have to lay there and think trying to go to sleep. I ended up not really sleeping at all. Liberty was doing an all night of prayer thing tonight too, so since I was awake I decided to just take the 4:00am slot. I ended up going up there to the prayer chapel and staying till around 5:15 this morning. Now that its so close to morning I might as well just not sleep tonight. I have to be at work at 8:00 this morning. I'm just going to take a shower and then try and read some more till work. bye for now.
