Well, its friday. I'm ready for a relaxing weekend. Allie left today to go down and visit her dad though so I'm going to have to cope through a weekend without here. We were able to get together for lunch on Thursday though so we could spend some time together before she left. That was nice. We didn't really get to see too much of each other this week though. We've both been busy. Things at work this week have been pretty steady and I was able to get a lot done. This evening I went to church for drama practice for a dessert theater we are doing tomorrow night. It looks like its going to turn out pretty nice. Things are coming together pretty well for it. Tomorrow morning I'm going to have another flying lesson That usually goes till around 12:00. After that I'm not sure what I'll do until the dessert theater. Anyway, there isn't really much else to talk about. Kind of an average week. I'll probalby write more after the weekend. Thats it for now.

I think this has been the longest time without a blog for awhile. I've just been so tired lately I never get around to it before I have to go to sleep. I'm still really tired tonight but I need to get caught up with this.

On Saturday I did my Ambulence ride along for my EMT class. The idea of the whole thing was pretty fun. But unfortunaly it wasn't as good as I would have liked. I had originally signed up for five hours to hang out with the Ambulence crew. I got to the station at 9am and met with all the people. We all just sat around for almost three hours before anything even happend. We watched the History channel for most of the time and one of the other ladies there was using the time to make a cake and a bunch of cupcakes for her kids birthday. Finally though we had a little bit of noise on the radio for a lady that was two months pregnant with flu-like symptoms. So we dispatched to her house. Upon arrival she was just laying in bed and her 2yr old kid way playing by himself on the floor below her. They ended up just asking her questions about how she feels and stuff. Turns out she just felt weak and a little bit dizzy - they felt her head and she didn't feel like she had a fever of any sort. They did still ask if she wanted to go to the hospital and she did want to. So, we went ahead and transported her. I ended up carrying the 2yr old along and strapping him in the ambulence along side where she was laying in the strecher. She was able to walk herself to the vehicle though and then I sat in back with the other person during the ride. We delivered her to the ER then filled out some paperwork and then headed back to the station for another few hours. By this time my scheduled 5 hours were almost up, but just before was another call for a lady that had flu-like symptoms. It turns out that her husband was already driving her to the hospital but stopped on the way at a fire station because she said she couldn't get any further. So we had arrived and the fire people had already taken her vital signs and everything. All we did was transport her the rest of the way to the hospital. Then fill out more paperwork and go back to the station again. I decided I wanted to stay a little longer though because nothing really all that exciting even happend yet. I ended up staying a total of 8 hours and during that extra few hours nothing else still came up. It was a pretty long and slow day. It was cool because it was just a new thing, but I was hoping to learn a lot more by seeing someone who actually needed real medical work done. It never did happen though. Maybe I'll see something later on when I work in the ER for awhile. After the time at the station I ended up going home to work on some stuff then later that evening we had another CANVAS. This time we opened the doors at 9:00 and we ended up leaving around 12:00 that night. We still didn't really get any new people to show up though. I had a decent time though.
Sunday I had to be at the church at 8:30 so its probalby a good thing we left a little early because I had been pretty tired all day.

Sunday morning I went to setup the songs on power point and things but I actually wasn't going to run it during church. I had story teller duty at kids church that day. It was kind of a rough sunday this time though because the kids were pretty riled up for some reason. Normally its just one or two, but this time it seemed like all of them were for some reason. It made it kind of tough. But I had a pretty good time. That afternoon though was a very strange afternoon for us. It was just out of the typical routine. The Donnebergs wanted to go out to Panera for lunch because Chuck was going to be at a meeting that afternoon and wouldn't be joining us for a home cooked meal. But some people at church were throwing a BBQ for the conregation for anyone that wanted to come. I would rather have a BBQ then go to Panera for lunch so They all went to Panera and I stayed behind to have some good ol' american hotdogs and grilled chicken sandwiches. I ended up meeting them over at Panera after I had my fill of processed meat. It was sure good stuff though. I ended up going back to the Donnebergs house but it ended up just being Jugee and me hanging out most of the afternoon. Allie and Jo went shopping and Chuck was still at his meeting. They all returned at around 4:30 though. It worked out pretty well too because I had scheduled with a realty agent to see inside one of the houses I had been looking at that week. The whole family ended up coming along to look at it with me. Everybody kind of had a few things to say about it. I still kind of like the house but from what they all said it seems like it needs too much work for the price they are selling it at. If the price drops any more I may go back and consider it again. But in the mean time the hunt continues. - Once we got back home we all just kind of relaxed for awhile. I ended up watching a movie with Chuck and Allie had to do a bunch more homework. But Allie sat with Jo while she watched another movie downstairs. Chuck and I had fun watching a guy move though. Shortly after that Allie and I headed home for the night. Turned out to be a different then usual sundy for us though.

Today I just went back to the grind of everything again. Back to work and things have been picking up better. I stayed busy all day. I even had the chance to work on someone's computer today that goes to my church. That was cool. After work I headed to my EMT class and today we didn't have a lecture but we did practical work. Thats what we are going to be doing now for the next few months now. We went through senarios and we had to pretend to treat each other from "symptoms" that was were showing. It was kind of fun. We all need a lot of work to get it all down though. So anyway, that about it for now. Writing this blog took a lot longer then I had anticipated. Looks like I won't be getting to bed all that early after all. Anyway. Night!

Lotta stuff has been going on lately to keep me busy, but not much that has been super exciting worth blogging about. Allie's birthday was pretty fun though and we had a great time celebrating that with her. I got her a new dress that she looks great in. Once it gets warmer I'm sure she'll wear it alot =). My class on monday night was a lot shorter then normal so I was able to meet with Allie and we made some homemade pizza and watched part of a recorded American Idol. She couldn't stay long enough to watch the whole thing though because she had homework and stuff. Tuesday was a pretty normal day. Then today I had work but no class. It ended up being canceled for the evening so I was able to go to campus church. After church Allie and I finished the episode of American Idol and then she had to go back to her room for more homework stuff. I ran out of stuff to do here at home though so I'm just going to go to bed. I am kind of tired though because I've been up since 5:30 this morning to meet for coffee with the guys. Anyway, thats it, night!

Its been another few days since my last update. Figured I should try to write another one. Monday was a pretty normal day to start off the week. Things at work for me were fairly slow, but I helped out some of the other guys on my team that had to deal with cases where the Daylight Savings Time change affected a lot of the operations of computer interaction between systems. So we did have to run around a lot that day and take care of those. Some of those problems went on into Tuesday. After work Monday though I went on to my EMT class and we just about finished up with all the book work stuff then we took our last regular test before the Final. I think I did fairly well on that.

Tuesday things at work moved along kind of slow too but I found enough stuff to do to keep me busy. After work I drove around town to look at some houses Chuck helped me find in the paper on sunday. I was kind of thinking about getting a house so I don't have to keep paying rent. Right now though I wouldn't be able to get anything over $50K because I want to get my student loan paid off first and still have to pay for flight lessons. But there were 6 of them below $50K that were worth looking at. The biggest problem I ran into with any of these was lack of parking. I don't really want a house where you have to park on the side of the street. All of the ones I looked at will need a good amout of work to make it look nicer. I didn't go inside any of them so I can't say for sure, but I think they were all in a livable condition at least. I don't know if any of them needed work on the roof or plumming or heating or anything like that though. But any way it was at least a start. We'll see what happens as I keep my eye out. After doing that I went over to the church and spent some time with my pastor that evening. We didn't talk too long that night though but it was still pretty good. After leaving the church I ended up going over to the Donnebergs because they were having some of thier old friends from Texas over for dinner. They are in town all this week. I've heard Allie talk about them here and there so it was nice to be able to finally meet them. They seemed like a great and fun family.

On Wednesday I woke up at 5:30am so I could meet with my pastor and Joe at Starbucks that morning. Then after that I headed to work again. By now things at work as far as my regular duties had really slowed down. One project I had to do though was clean up our general office area because a big VIP guy in charge of all the IT employee's was going to be visiting Today. They wanted to leave a good impression for him as he had never been to this location before. So I had to move about 50 huge 17 & 19" monitors to a storage room in the basement to get them out of sight. They were all either broken or waiting to be given away to a charity of some sort. That got to be pretty tough. I got a really fun break in the middle of the day though. Allie suggested that we go out to lunch here in downtown Lynchburg yesterday. So after she got off work at 12:30 she headed over this way and picked me up from work. We ended up going to the Community Market and having lunch at a Philipino restaraunt. It was really good too. It was sure fun having Allie come eat lunch with me. After that though she dropped me back off at my work building and I had to go back and move more monitors and clean some more stuff up. But it did help the day seem to go by faster. After work I had to meet my EMT class over at Lynchburg General Hospital so we could have a TB test done on us. It is one of the requirements for doing the Ride Along in the Ambulance. We actually got done with that by 6:30 and then he said we were just free to go after that. That was nice too because that enabled Allie and I to go see a 7:30 movie. But first I stopped by to pick her up and we had some left over chili for dinner. Then we went to go see the movie Happy Feet. After the movie we sat in the car and talked for a long time then dropped her off back home. I finally got home around 11:20 and by that time I was pretty tired. I went right to bed.

Today things are still kind of slow at work but I've found a few things here and there so far. I had enough time to write this post so that was kind of nice. After work today I don't have any plans yet. There are a few things I need to do at home though that have just sat there the last few nights since I've been getting home so late. Maybe I'll be able to do some of that. Anyway thats it for now. Night!

This weekend was a pretty relaxing one. There wasn't much going on. I went flying Saturday morning and that was pretty good. After that I met up with Allie and we had to do child care for a wedding that was organzied by a friend of ours. That was pretty fun though. After that Allie and I hung out for the day. We went to go see a movie then did some shopping. After that we just went over to her house and watched a movie there and spent time with the family. I ended up being there kind of late though and then we didn't realize until after I left that it was daylight saving night so we were even an hour later then thought. I still had to be at church in the morning too. But everything worked out and I made it to church on time. Steph showed up for church that morning too. That was fun to have her around. She came down for Britt's birthday party. Thats what we did that afternoon was a birthday dinner and presents and stuff for brittany. It was cool. She ended up leaving around 3:00 though and the rest of us just kind of hung out and did our own thing. Later on in the evening we watched another movie and then Allie and I watched an Episode of American Idol. It turned out to be a pretty good weekend. I know I had fun.

This week at work has been pretty uneventful. Now that the project is done I feel like I'm just sitting around there a lot. I'm all caught up on everything at the moment. Wednesday was kind of a nice evening because I was able to go to church with Allie that night. I hadn't been to Wednesday night church since last semester. It was a nice change of pace. It was good to be able to spend a week evening with Allie because that hadn't happend too much this semester other then on Fridays. This friday is an exeption though because I didn't get to see her at all today. It was good we were able to get together during the week though. Anyway, there isn't much to report on this time. I am going to flying tomorrow morning though so that should be cool. Other then that I'm not sure what else will be happening. We'll just wait and see. I'm going to head to bed now though so I'll be well rest for tomorrow's flight. Night!

This weekend was pretty fun. Allie and I left Friday afternoon to go to North Carolina. I got off work a little early too so we could get there in time for Allie's brother Sam's Basketball tournament game. It was fun to watch him play. He lost the game that night though, but he ended up winning the game on Saturday morning. The one Saturday was pretty intense too they were sooo close to each other and they fought back and forth the whole time. It was pretty cool. Saturday was just a nice relaxing day. I played with her brother Dan outside on the big trampoline and then Allie and I watched some episodes of American Idol. Over all we just sat around and had fun. Allie did have a little bit of homework she needed to do though. There was one thing kind big she was going to have to do, but ended up not being able to because her professor didn't put it on line. Anyway, it was a nice weekend. Sunday morning Allie and I went to a church called Summit Church. They had Clayton King as a special speaker there that morning too. It was really cool because We've heard him speak at some events at Liberty. He was talking about the story of Joseph. After church we returned to her house and had some lunch. We then left around 1:00 to come back to lynchburg. Once we got to Lynchburg we did some shopping. One of our stops was Wal-Mart and I decided it would be fun to make dinner at my house that evening. So we went and picked up all the fixings for a steak dinner. We had mushrooms brocolli and green pepper too. Then we had some scalloped potatoes as well. It turned out really good I think. I sure enjoyed it. After dinner Allie had a little more homework to do so I cleaned up everything while she did that. She ended up doing homework until she had to leave. I know I had a pretty good time spending my weekend with her though. It was great.

Yesterday I had to go back to work though. I felt like I got a lot accomplished though. That was a pretty nice feeling. After work I met up with Allie again and we went out to Dinner at Cracker Barrel. I had fun doing that. We didn't do too much after dinner though because she needed to go back to do more homework. But it was cool to see her again. We were actually able to because CVCC is on spring break this week so I don't have Class Monday or Wednesay of this week. Its actually kind of nice. Anyway. I guess that pretty much brings me up to speed. I'll be writing more later.

Man, it sure has been awhile since my last post. You haven't really missed too much though. This week I have still been swamped at work with that project. It finally slowed down somewhat today though. I have the main project completed finally. Monday night I had my EMT class, right after class though one of the girls from that class started to hyperventilate and had a racing heart beat. So they ended up calling the EMT's to come help. It was kind of ironic that the EMT's came to an EMT class. But the girl is fine now. Tuesday night I went and spent the evening with my pastor. We had some really good conversation and we talked about all kinds of things. We also used some of the time to fix a weird buzz that we had from the sounds system on sunday. I think we got all that figured out too. Wednesday morning I woke up at 5:30 so I could meet some guys for coffee before work that day. That was pretty good. Then I had work all day and then Class again that evening until 9:30. It ended up being a really long day. I wasn't feeling all that well last night either. I'm not sure if it was because I haven't been sleeping all that well the past few days. But I tried to go to bed around 10:30 last night to make up for it a little.

This morning I was still pretty tired still and I still feel kind of sick. I sure hope it doesn't get worse though because I'm going to be going to North Carolina with Allie for the weekend. I should be able to take it a lot easier at work tomorrow though since everythign is pretty much complete. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have some more exciting things to talk about this weekend. Bye for now.
