Tonight was really cool. Allie took me out to dinner at the Dinning hall on campus. I love that place! I miss being able to go there whenever I want. They were having a cook off tonight with some cooks from other schools participating too. Everybody had thier own special dish we could all try and vote on. It was pretty fun. Thanks Allie it was great! After dinner I walked Allie to her evening class and then went to Panera Bread where I met with my pastor and we talked for awhile there until around 9:30 or so. We had a good time and some pretty good conversation tonight as well. I should probably get to bed though. I have to wake up early and meets some guys for coffee before work. Night!

This weekend was pretty busy. I had a bunch of stuff going on. Friday for the most part was a pretty typical work day. I got off a little bit early though so I could try to grab a little bit to eat before my CPR class at 5:30. The class was going to go until 9:30. The class was actually pretty cool. We not only learned the typical CPR stuff but how to use a defibulator machine as well. It was pretty fun. The class was supposed to go through saturday as well but we ended up getting everything we needed covered that night. So we all took the exam and I'm pretty sure everybody passed. So I am now a CPR Certified person. After class I hurried over and was able to meet up with Sam, Erin, and Allie and we hung out for awhile at Sam's house. It was nice to spend some time with them.
Saturday was another fairly busy day. We had a work day scheduled for the day for the new CANVAS ministry we are helping to startup her in Lynchburg. We were prepping the building for the opening night Feb. 10th. Allie and Erin washed all the windows and Sam and I checked all the lights and made sure everything was electrically wired. Chuck and Jo were there also and so were a bunch of other people painting, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuming and stuff. The place looks really nice now. After leaving there Chuck, Jo, Allie and I went out to lunch at a new sandwich shop that just opened here in lynchburg. It was a fun little place to check out and try. After lunch Allie and I went downtown and took a little stroll around the place. There really wasn't too much to see as Lynchburg doesn't have too much exciting. But there were a few shops we stopped in and checked out. Later that evening we met with Sam and Erin again and went to see a movie at the Dollar Theater. After the movie the four of us went out to Dairy Queen and got ourselfs a bite to eat and some cool treats. Allie even bought my ice cream - that was a little unusual but nice of her. =) After that Sam and I dropped the girls back off at the dorms and I headed home for the night.
Sunday turned out to be really good. The message was on Worship and we had a full band and Brittany joined them for it also. It was really a good service. Brittany adds a lot to the praise team. It was cool how the message brought a little different perspective to the whole idea of worship and it made the worship music at the end seem a lot better then how it was at the begining. I think a lot of people really responded to it. For lunch Jo made her famous Chili which as awsome as always. Its always nice to have a good meal there. We then chilled for a little bit after eating until 3:00 when we all had to be at a training meeting for the CANVAS minitry. That meeting went until around 5:00 or so and it was a good refresher for everything before the up coming opening night. The rest of the night Allie and I both had some stuff we needed to work on. So we went over to her house and spent the rest of the evening working on our to do list. We left to go back home around 11:00 or so that night.
Today I found it really hard to wake up this morning for some reason. It might have been the fact that it was 15 degrees outside but I just didn't want to get up. I finally pulled it off though and made it to work on time. The day at work today was pretty straight forward. Nothing too much happend on the job. In between going from building to building I ended up making a quick stop at the Post office to buy some stamps. On the way out I was stopped by our Channel 13 ABC news team and asked a question by one of thier reporters. Apparently there is a canadate here in VA that wants to pass a Bill that Sperm and Egg donors should be required to give thier identity so the person born from them can track down thier biological parents if they wanted to. I basicly just said "I think it should be up to the Donor, but honestly I think there are a lot more important things to worry about in this world then that" I don't know if they will use my quote or not, but I have a feeling they probalby won't. I don't even know when that story will be aired or if they even will. Anyway that was a fun experience. This evening I had my EMT class again - it was another somewhat bland class. We haven't really gotten to the exciting things yet. We did take each others blood pressure tonight though so that was a little different thing. I also got my test score back from Wednesday's test. I ended up getting an 88% on it. That was tied for highest score with another person in my class too. It thought it was a little strange that the highest score was still a B. Oh well. Doesn't really matter. In the end it all works out as a Pass/Fail thing anyway. After class tonight I stopped over at Jonathan and Tori's house to take a look at a computer issue they were having. I wasn't able to get it working with the equipment they have though. So they will need to buy a different part. So I just headed back home and decided to write this blog. That pretty much covers it. Hope you enjoyed it!

Last night I had my EMT test. It was actually a lot easier then I had thought it would be. I way over studied for it. The class itself was pretty weird though. We had a student that was having some kind of problem and the Instructor spent most of the time trying to deal with her. We really only had about 30minutes of class (Not including the test time). But he ended up just letting us go early because of whatever was going on. So I was able to spend some time with Allie last night and we watched American Idol with her family. It was pretty fun. We haven't had much time together the last week or so.
Today was nice though. We were able to spend part of the evening together tonight. It was fun. It was a busy day at work today too so I was ready to just hang out for awhile. We went to get some coffee and a snack at Waffle House and then took a stroll around Wal-Mart. I had a few things I needed to pickup and Allie grabbed some stuff of her own too. We had fun tonight teasing each other. Allie plays like she doesn't like it.. but she does! =o) Night!

Its been a long while since my last blog. Not too much has happened since then. I'm still trying to heal from my wisdom teeth extraction. I still can't eat normally. Saturday morning we had the mens breakfast at church. I was supposed to help cook but I ended up forgetting about it and by the time I got there they were pretty much done. The time with the guys was pretty cool though. Thats the first time at the mens breakfast I only had one plate of food though. It took me almost the whole time to just eat the one. After all the men left Pastor and I took a ride up to Roanoke. We were going to go see Obie because it was his first day he was able to leave the building. We called up there and everything first, but by the time we got there he had left somewhere already. I can't really blame him because he was free finally and I'm sure he wanted to go do something. I would have thought the staff there would have at least mentioned he had friends coming. I don't know what happend though. Anyway, John and I just went out to get some lunch at Macadoos and spent awhile just hanging out on our own. We were going to try to buy a little time so we could go back to the Mission and maybe Obie would be back. Turns out he still hadn't returned after the two hours we spent at lunch and wandering some. So we just had to head back to Lynchburg. It was pretty sad. I hope he is still doing ok and didn't go off somewhere and get into trouble already. After getting back to Lynchburg I went back home to take a nap. I kind of figured Allie would call when she returned from her dad's house so I didn't set an alarm or anything. Well She never called and I ended up sleeping until about 11:00 at night. By that time I decided to just get up and get ready for bed and go back to bed. I ended up getting about 15 hours of sleep that night.
Sunday we had church and the Pastor talked about generosity. I thought it was pretty good. That afternoon I helped Allie move into her dorm and then went over for lunch to the Donnebergs. Then all of us watch the two episodes of American Idol from last week since we didn't get a chance to see it while it was on TV. Those were some pretty good episodes too. Allie then wanted to leave early to settle in her dorm before classes Monday morning. We stopped at Sheetz for some dinner first though before she left for the night. It was icing/snowing that night some too so the roads were pretty slick. But we survided pretty well.
Monday was another day back at work. Not too much to report on there. After work I had my EMT class though. It was pretty fun this time. We had to practice putting people on strechers and ventilating dummies. I ended up being the person they practiced on for what they call the back board. They had to tie me down and I had to wear a neck brace and all kinds of stuff. They secured me pretty good. I have a test in that Class on Wednesday so I need to study for that some tonight. Anyway that pretty much fills in the holes I missed the last few days I think. Hope you enjoyed the update!

Yesterday I had my wisdom teeth pulled. It ended up talking a little over two hours for the whole procedure. At first all seemed pretty well, but my mouth would just never quit bleeding. It ended up getting around 5:00 or so and the pain started to get really intense. This was when the novacane stuff started to go away. I was really tired too from everything and I wasn't able to sleep. I couldn't lay on my back without choking from blood and saliva, couldn't lay on my side without drooling over everything and also the pain from pressure on the side. I wasn't sure what to do and my head/jaw pain was increasing. By this time I also couldn't stand too well because I had a hard time seeing and everything was spinning. At about 7:00 I decided to call Allie and see if she could come over and help me. It was a little while later she was able to get there and help me out. She just ended up driving me back to her house and tried to make me as comfortable as possible there. I don't know how long it took, but I don't think it was long and I finally was able to fall asleep. Jo figured out a good way I could lay upright and still have my head supported like it needed to be. It was good to know they were there to help me if I needed it. Allie played my hero last night though as I just needed someone to help me out. She did a pretty good job at it too.
This morning I was significantly better. The pain was still there but very very much less. The dizzyness was gone too. I was able to go back home when Allie left for work. I cleaned myself up and got ready for work and everything. Before work I had a chiropractic appointment though. My back has also been really bothering me the past few days so I wanted to have that looked at. That visit seemed to go pretty well. They cracked me.. did some electrical stimulation therapy and then a muscular massage. It was really nice. My back isn't fully better yet but I think it helped. He said I will probably have to make a few more visits. After the chiropractor I ended up going to work. I wasn't going to do anything physically strenuous but I needed to go in and at least do some e-mail work and helping out some people with step by step instuction on some things. There was one job where I would have had to move a bunch of monitors, but I asked if I could just do that tomorrow. I hope I will be back to pretty much full strength tomorrow. After work I then had to go to my class. Class went well but they are still talking about introductory stuff so it hasn't gotten too exciting yet. Someone brought in White Chocolate Macadamian Nut cookies though and I really really like those.. so that was the first solid food I ate since surgery. I was able to suck on it long enough so it would be really soft and easy to swallow. Class then got out about half an hour early tonight. It was really nice too because it was Chuck's Birthday party tonight and I wanted to be there for it. So I was able to go and spend some time with them tonight. It was fun. I had a really hard time laughing/smiling though so that made it somewhat difficult. Anyway that pretty much covers it. I'm on the road to recovery now.. hopefully won't be too much longer before I can eat and talk right. Night!

My Flight Saturday went really well. It was the stage check with the head flight instructior. He said I was doign really good, but still gave me a few pointers to help me out a little more. It was cool. After flying I went back home and took about an hour nap again because flying always makes me really tired for some reason. After that I ended up going to hang out at Sam's house for awhile. We just sat around and talked and had the TV on in the background kind of watching some shows. Later in the evening Allie joined us and the three of us went out to Dinner at Cici's Pizza then went to see "Open Season" I thought it was a pretty funny movie. After the movie Sam went back home but Allie and I ended up going to Walmart to pick up a few things. We then left our separate ways to go home from there. It was nice to hang out with Sam some, but then also nice to hang out with Allie since I didn't really get to do that too much this week.
Today was a pretty good day too, I went to church this morning, and the service was a good one encouraging us to spend some more quality time in God's word. After church I went over to the Donnebergs for lunch. Scott and Steph were over this afternoon too and they hung out until around 5:00 or so. After they left Allie, Jo and I watched The Little Mermaid. It has been a really long time since I watched that last. It was kind of fun. We mostly just chilled the rest of the evening. Anyway, I should probably get to bed. I have to be at work tomorrow.

Today was a pretty nice day. Now that I"m caught up at work things kind of slowed down a little. Also since Monday is a holiday for most of the people at the office (not for me though) people just kind of left early today to prepare for the long weekend. I ended up leaving early too since there wasn't much for me to do. I ended up trying to see Allie at work but she had ended up getting of early today too so that didn't work out. When I got home though I found out she had stopped by my house and cleaned my bathroom for me. Apparently it was really bad according to what she said. I didn't mind it too much though, but it was really sweet of her and I thought it was great of her to do that for me. I ended up taking a nap this evening since I got off early. I ended up sleeping until about 7 or so and that was nice. The rest of the night I just read some e-mail and studied some aviation stuff for my flight tomorrow morning. Then at about 9:00 I ended up talking to Felipe (My Friend from Brazil) We talked for about an hour and a half this evening. We called each other through the computer and were able to hear each other. It was fun to be able to do that. He never had the ability to do that until just recently. We talked about all kinds of stuff. It was great. Anyway, I probably should get on to bed now though. I want to be rested up for my flight time tomorrow. Night!

Yesterday was a pretty long day for me. I woke up at 5:30 so I could meet up with some guys for coffee at 6:00. It ended up not working out as we had hoped but my pastor still showed up there so just he and I had some coffee together and talked for a bit. We will try to get together again next week with the other two guys. After that I had work all day and then class right after that. I was thinking it was going to be a really long day, but my class ended up getting out a little early. I used the extra bit of time to stop by and see my babe of a girlfriend. I didn't stay for too long though because I had to head home and call my parents. I just dissussed with them the class situation and they helped me decide what to do. So last night I ended up signing up for the class for good. So it looks like I'll be doing it this semster. Those days will be pretty long though as the class will usually go until 10:00. Pray that I'll be able to stay awake through them.
Today I was finally able to get caught up at work. I'm back to where I have a few extra computers done and am ahead of myself. That will be good for next week when there are a bunch of projects I may be needed for. After work I didn't really have too much to do though. I ended up just coming home and reading some e-mail stuff. While doing that I came across this website www.videojug.com It is a site filled with How-to videos for all kinds of things ranging from magic tricks to how to jump the battery for your car to how to make scrambeled eggs in the microwave. It was pretty fun. As soon as I found it I kind of got stuck there and watched a lot of those videos. Thats pretty much all I did tonight. But I did learn some cool things. I should probably go to bed now though. I am pretty tired. Night!

Today was a fairly typical day at work starting out another week. Not really too much to report on. After work though I had my first class for the EMT program at CVCC. I'm still debating on wether I want to take it this semester or wait until next year. I kind of got excited about it during class today. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun. If I take it this semster I will have to pay out of state tuition, but if I wait until next Jan I will only have to pay the in-state tuition. But I'm also not sure what next year will have and if I'll still have the time and resources to do it then. I don't know what to do yet. Anyway, I'm going to sleep on it. Night!

Today Allie and I celebrated our 21 month anniversary. It was a lot of fun. Before we went out though I went flying this morning and was able to test out the new aviation headset Allie got me for christmas. It works pretty well and my flying lesson went great as well. After flying I stopped in at CVCC to get some information about the EMT classes they have there. I am going to sit in on a class on monday from 6-9 and see how I like it, I may end up having that class all semester if it works out. After getting all that stuff worked out with classes I was finally able to go and pickup Allie from her house. I was looking forward to seeing her, she looked pretty Hott today too. We ended up driving to Roanoke tonight and going to a little but very nice Italian restaraunt there. It was a fun little place to eat dinner. After that we went to see "We are Marshall" at a small theater on the same street as the restarunt. It only had four auditoriums and it looks like the old vintage style theaters like back in the 50's. It was fun, and the movie was great too. After the movie we stopped in for icecream at a little shop they had on that same street. They had a bunch of games you could play while you were there as well and Allie and I played a game of scrabble while we had Ice cream. That was a good way to finish out the night. We then just drove back home from there and got back about an hour later. I know I really enjoyed myself and Allie did too. It was a great day!

The past few days have been pretty good. Monday I woke up a little later then usual and it felt nice to sleep in some. After getting ready for the day I called up Jonathan since he is in town and we met for lunch. We had a pretty good converstaion and it was nice to spend some time with himng. After that we met Allie at the theater and the three of us saw Flicka. It was a pretty good movie but the over all way things happend was a little unbelevable. Also the whole reason there was a story was because she defied her father, basicly everything that happens is her doing something her dad said she couldn't do. --- Anyway after the movie I ended up doing some grocery shopping. I had to make sure my fridge was empty for the most part before I left to home for christmas, so I had to go and work on filling it back up again. Later that evening I ended up going to the Donnebergs for dinner and a movie. After the movie Allie and I went through the book we are reading together. By that time it was fairly late and both of us had to work the next morning so I headed home. It turned out to be a pretty good day.
Tuesday was a getting back on track at work day. I spent pretty much the whole time catching up and getting back into the groove of things from being gone for so long. But other then that there is not much else to report. Oh.. I did get a new phone from my work though so I have that now. Right now I'm carrying around two phones and I have to figure out what I can do about that. After work I went home and ate a quick dinner then went to the church and met with my pastor for a little bit. We talked about a lot of good stuff and I left with a few things to think about. For the rest of the night I just sat at home and read until bed time. So I guess that pretty much covers everything. I'll write more later!

I've been really slacking on keeping up with this blog lately.. Sorry about that. Well as you should know from the previous post I am writing this from back in Lynchburg. I got back home safely around 3:00am Friday Morning. I still had to work the next day so that kind of made things tough. I was able to leave a little bit early though and that was nice. I wasn't feeling too good. Friday Night I went over the Donnebergs and we exchanged our gifts and had Christmas Dinner and watched a movie. We all really had a good time. It was nice to be back. I loved being able to see Allie the most beautiful girl on God's green earth again. That was probalby the best Christmas present of them all. We ended up staying up pretty late watching "Pride and Prejudice" I had absolutely nothing to do Saturday though so I decided to go to bed and not set my alarm. I can't remember the last time I did that. I really needed some extra sleep though because by the time I went to bed I really wasn't feeling well and my sinuses were all clogged up. I ended up sleeping in until around 3:00 in the afternoon because Allie called me around that time to see if I wanted to hang out some that evening. I decided I probably should get out of bed by that time and I wanted to spend some time with them. So I showered and dressed and went over to thier house of the rest of the night.
Today was a pretty fun day too. I went to church this morning early to get ready for the worship team with lyrics and everything. The service was pretty good too and he talked about getting a clear direction for this upcoming year. Later that afternoon I went to lunch with Allie and her family and I ended up falling asleep like usual after the sunday afternoon lunch. But I woke up in time to watch Sleeping Beauty with Allie and then we watched the video of my trip to seattle. (Don't worry mom I'll get that to you as soon as you get DSL). After that we were invited over to the Hartman's (a family from our church) for a new years party. Richard and Kathleen were there too. It was pretty fun and nice to spend the evening with them. I played with the kids a lot too and I always enjoy that. They had a lot of food and dessert items, and I was sad I was sick or I could have enjoyed that more. It was still good though. We all had sparkling cider and toasted when the ball dropped in Time Square. It was fun. Everybody left shortly after that though, we were all getting tired like an hour before that anyway. So anyway, that pretty much covers it. We had fun.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
